About the Role

The Director of Philanthropic Engagement will be responsible for leading all fundraising efforts at the National Employment Law Project (NELP). This includes developing and implementing a comprehensive fundraising strategy, managing relationships with key stakeholders, and coordinating with the management team to ensure alignment with the organization's vision and goals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement a fundraising strategy to sustainably reach revenue goals of over $10 million annually.
  • Manage relationships with key stakeholders, including funders, donors, and partners.
  • Collaborate with the management team to ensure alignment with the organization's vision and goals.
  • Develop and manage a team of dedicated staff, including a Development Manager and Development Associate.
  • Work closely with the finance team to manage revenue forecasting and tracking, as well as grant budget management and reporting.

Requirements:

  • At least 10 years of experience advancing racial equity, workers' rights, or economic justice.
  • Experience in fundraising, with a focus on strategic partnerships and development.
  • Strong racial equity competencies, including the ability to center racial equity in all aspects of the role.
  • Leadership experience, including the ability to manage a team and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
