Job Title: Commissioning Specialist

Innova Solutions is seeking a highly skilled Commissioning Specialist to join our team. As a Commissioning Specialist, you will play a critical role in ensuring the successful commissioning of our projects.

Job Summary:

The Commissioning Specialist will be responsible for coordinating and directing commissioning activities, including developing and implementing commissioning processes, reviewing subcontractor submittals, and writing functional performance test procedures. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background in electrical, mechanical, and energy services contracting, as well as experience with building automation and control systems.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement commissioning processes and protocols
  • Review and comment on subcontractor submittals for compliance with commissioning needs
  • Write functional performance test procedures for equipment and systems
  • Analyze functional performance trend logs and monitoring data to verify performance
  • Prepare progress reports, equipment checklists, commissioning logs, and final commissioning reports
  • Ensure that the commissioning process meets project long-term energy performance guarantees
  • Maintain accountability for project schedule and cost requirements
Requirements:
  • Progressive experience in electrical, mechanical, and energy services contracting
  • Strong technical background with building automation and control systems
  • Ability to do project scheduling, building commissioning, retro, and re-commissioning of existing buildings
  • Proficiency in computer and software such as MS Project, MS Office, Building Automation System, and commissioning program
  • Valid driver's license and ability to travel and work off-hours as required by the project
