Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Environmental Engineer/Physical Scientist/Natural Resource Specialist to join our team at Naval Facilities Engineering Command. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for developing and executing integrated audit schedules, providing technical guidance on Environmental Management System (EMS) issues, and ensuring complex events with stakeholders are executed within required timelines.

Responsibilities
  • Develop and execute integrated audit schedules to ensure compliance with environmental regulations.
  • Provide technical guidance on EMS issues to coworkers and supported personnel.
  • Ensure complex events with stakeholders are executed within required timelines.
Requirements
  • At least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-12 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector.
  • Experience must demonstrate the ability to manage programs, foster an environment that administers all resources in a manner that instills public trust, and evaluate outcomes to improve organizational efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Ability to hold self and others accountable for measurable high-quality, timely, and cost-effective results.
  • Ability to determine objectives, set priorities, and ensure sound management processes and procedures are in place.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in environmental engineering, physical science, or a related field.
  • Current registration as a Professional Engineer (PE) in a State, the District of Columbia, the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico, or a territory of the United States.
