Theatre Mission Planning Center Field Service Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Theatre Mission Planning Center Field Service Engineer to support our customer site at the Washington Planning Center in the Washington Navy Yard, DC. As a Field Service Engineer, you will work directly with the customer onsite in Washington DC, providing expertise with the configuration, maintenance, and troubleshooting of Microsoft/Linux OS: Windows 10/11, Server 2016/2019, RedHat 7.x/8.x/9.x in support of the Theatre Mission Planning Center (TMPC) products developed by Peraton.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Troubleshoot and diagnose system/software issues
  • Maintain systems with software and security updates
  • Support system upgrades/installations
  • Support cyber security accreditation of Theatre Mission Planning Center(TMPC)
  • Investigate and report software discrepancies
  • Support test events and other related customer requirements


Requirements:
  • 5 years with BS/BA, 3 years with MS/MA, 0 years with PhD, in lieu of degree, 9 years of applicable experience will be acceptable
  • Active DoD Top Secret/SCI clearance
  • Must have or within 3 months obtain DoD Directive 8570 Information Assurance compliance (Security+ certification) and within 6 months obtain Computing Environment compliance
  • Technical knowledge and experience with Microsoft products, including: Operating Systems, SQL; PowerShell, and Office; Microsoft SQL Server or SQL Server Management Studio, Active Directory, RedHat Virtualization
  • Strong Windows background Windows/RedHat
  • General knowledge of networking
  • Possess good oral and written skills


Desired Skills:
  • Prior US Navy experience with Tomahawk background
  • Operation knowledge of Theatre Mission Planning Center(TMPC)
  • Possess software and/or systems engineering skills

Target Salary Range:
$86,000 - $138,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
