About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity to join Relation Insurance Inc. as an Account Manager, where you will play a key role in leading and managing the operational functioning and development of the Commercial Lines servicing team. As a seasoned professional with 10+ years of experience in account/client management, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day functions of the department and assisting with operational, non-sales administration.

Key Responsibilities

• Mentor and manage sales support team members to ensure they have the skills and knowledge needed to excel in their roles.
• Champion communication of goals, vision, and procedures developed by leadership to ensure a cohesive and collaborative team environment.
• Manage office environment and champion the creation and continuation of a culture of teamwork, fostering a positive and productive work atmosphere.
• Work with the Leadership Team and Human Resources to manage employees and implement projects and directives, ensuring seamless execution and effective communication.
• Actively participate in the hiring and new hire onboarding process, providing recommendations for hiring and training team members on duties, expectations, standards, policies, and procedures.
• Provide feedback to management and team members about service structure to improve performance and productivity, ensuring alignment with company goals and objectives.
• Coordinate time off within the department to ensure service level and appropriate reporting of time off, maintaining a healthy work-life balance.
• Assure service standards are being met utilizing the audit and review process, identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective actions as needed.
• Assure client service standards are being met, ensuring exceptional customer experience and satisfaction.
• Create and recommend new standards and any specialized processes or standards based on business needs, driving innovation and continuous improvement.
• Assist in monitoring operating expenses and adherence to budget numbers for the Company location, ensuring fiscal responsibility and accountability.
• Conduct annual performance reviews for direct reports, providing constructive feedback and coaching to support their growth and development.
• Manage the service of a book of business directly and may have direct revenue responsibility, driving business growth and profitability.
• Answer clients/employees questions in a timely manner, providing clear and concise information to ensure satisfaction and resolution.
• Answer phone inquiries and resolve issues in an expedient manner, demonstrating exceptional customer service skills.
• Special projects and other duties as assigned, demonstrating adaptability and a willingness to take on new challenges.

Requirements

• 10+ years of experience in account/client management, with a strong background in commercial lines of coverage.
• Advanced professional designation highly desirable (e.g. AAI, ARM, CIC, CPCU, CEBS, GBA, RHU, REBC).
• Demonstrated experience in successfully leading a team, with a proven track record of driving results and achieving goals.
• Proficient in using computers, internet, Microsoft Office Suite, and online rating systems, with a strong understanding of insurance markets, products, services, insurance ratings, and underwriting procedures.
• In-depth understanding of insurance markets, products, services, insurance ratings, and underwriting procedures, with a strong ability to think ahead and plan over a 1-2 year timeframe.
• Strong ability to listen, discern, prioritize, and negotiate with clients and insurance carrier representatives based on a deep understanding of relevant issues.
