Job Summary

COMHAR, Inc. is seeking a highly skilled Psychiatrist to join our team of mental health professionals. As a key member of our clinic, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care and working collaboratively with our team to ensure the delivery of exceptional services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct Comprehensive Evaluations: Conduct thorough psychiatric evaluations to determine diagnoses and treatment plans for patients, taking into account their unique needs and circumstances.
  • Prescribe and Monitor Medications: Prescribe and monitor psychotropic medications as needed, ensuring that patients receive the most effective treatment possible.
  • Collaborate with Colleagues: Work closely with other mental health professionals in the clinic to coordinate patient care and ensure a comprehensive approach to treatment.
  • Document Patient Progress: Accurately document patient progress and review treatment plans in electronic medical records, maintaining confidentiality and adhering to HIPAA guidelines.
  • Participate in Professional Development: Stay current with best practices in psychiatry by participating in ongoing professional development activities and staying up-to-date with the latest research and treatments.
  • Provide Crisis Intervention: Provide crisis intervention services as needed, responding to patient and family inquiries in a timely and professional manner.
  • Maintain Confidentiality: Maintain patient confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA guidelines, ensuring that sensitive information is protected and secure.
  • Work with Administrative Staff: Collaborate with the clinic's administrative staff to ensure efficient scheduling and billing processes, streamlining operations and improving patient care.
Requirements
  • Education and Certification: Doctor of Medicine or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine degree from an accredited institution, with board-certification or eligibility for board certification in Psychiatry.
  • State Medical License: Active state medical license in the state of practice, ensuring that you are authorized to practice medicine in your state.
  • Experience and Skills: Experience working in an outpatient mental health setting, with strong clinical skills and the ability to work collaboratively with a team. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are essential, as well as the ability to manage a busy caseload and prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Electronic Medical Records: Familiarity with electronic medical records and the ability to document patient care accurately, ensuring that patient information is secure and up-to-date.
