Job Overview

The Public Health Management Corporation is seeking a highly skilled Mental Health Nurse Practitioner to join our team of healthcare professionals. As a key member of our community-based health centers, you will provide essential services to adults in need of mental health care.

Responsibilities
  • Conduct Comprehensive Assessments: Provide thorough bio-psychosocial evaluations for adults at our health centers and outreach sites.
  • Medication Management: Administer medication according to specified guidelines at our health centers and outreach sites.
  • Group Education and Counseling: Organize and lead group education programs for homeless individuals, as well as provide one-on-one counseling services.
  • Referral and Coordination: Refer clients to psychiatric and other emergency departments, substance abuse and mental health care providers, and other relevant services.
  • Training and Education: Train shelter staff on the management of behavioral health problems and other health issues, as well as provide consultation services to Health Care for the Homeless management and clinical staff.
  • Advocacy and Coordination: Participate in advocacy and coordination committees addressing issues related to homelessness.
  • Documentation and Reporting: Ensure that psychiatric evaluations and medication management documentation meet all stakeholder, payor, and regulatory expectations.
Requirements
  • Education and Licensure: MSN degree and Pennsylvania RN, CRNP in psychiatric mental health licensure.
  • Experience and Skills: Experience in behavioral health, primary care, and/or community health, with good written and verbal communication skills.
  • Certification and Credentials: Certification by ANA or equivalent, preferred.
