About the Position

This is a challenging and rewarding role that requires a high level of expertise in psychological assessment and treatment. As a Psychologist 2, you will be responsible for administering and overseeing a variety of psychological tests, applying psychological techniques in the evaluation and treatment of prison inmates, children and youth, and providing psychological information to agency staff.

Key Responsibilities
  • Administer and oversee psychological tests and assessments
  • Apply psychological techniques in the evaluation and treatment of prison inmates, children and youth
  • Provide psychological information to agency staff
  • Coordinate with contracted medical agencies in the treatment and evaluation of prisoners
  • Provide administrative oversight of contracted mental health service agencies
  • Evaluate and coordinate the provision of forensic psychological services for children and families
  • Provide consultation regarding forensic psychological report interpretation
  • Evaluate and coordinate the provision of psychological services to intellectually disabled clients
  • Provide oversight to contracted emergency service workers and community home managers
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need to have a master's degree in psychology or a related field, with a minimum of three years of experience in psychometrics or related psychological assessment, diagnostic evaluation and therapy in a correctional center, child welfare agency, social service agency, clinic, intellectual disability provider or counseling agency under the supervision of a licensed psychologist.

Alternatively, you may have one year of experience as a certified School Psychologist. Possession of a current license as a Psychologist as issued by the Pennsylvania State Board of Psychology satisfies all education and experience requirements.

You will also need to have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
