We are seeking a highly skilled Mental Health Technician to join our team at Temple University Health System. As a Mental Health Technician, you will play a vital role in providing patient care and support to our patients.
Key Responsibilities- Under the direction of Registered Nurses, complete patient assessments and provide patient care.
- Assess units for safety and maintain accurate documentation.
- Lead and co-lead therapeutic activities to promote patient well-being.
A Bachelor's Degree from an accredited program in human services, such as psychology, sociology, or counseling, is required. Alternatively, a combination of relevant education and experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
Experience Requirements- 1 year of experience in direct patient care with a Bachelor's degree or 2 years of experience in direct patient care in a human services field with an Associate's degree.
- 5 years of experience in direct patient care in a human services field with a High School Diploma.
A Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required.
