- Collaborate with Colleagues: Work closely with our team of mental health professionals to coordinate patient care and ensure seamless delivery of services.
- Document Patient Progress: Accurately document patient progress and treatment plans in electronic medical records.
- Participate in Professional Development: Stay current with best practices in psychiatry through ongoing education and training.
- Provide Crisis Intervention: Respond to patient crises and provide timely, effective support.
- Communicate Effectively: Respond to patient and family inquiries in a professional, timely manner.
- Maintain Confidentiality: Ensure patient confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA guidelines.
- Support Administrative Tasks: Collaborate with administrative staff to ensure efficient scheduling and billing processes.
The Outpatient Psychiatrist will work in a fast-paced outpatient clinic setting, typically seeing patients during standard business hours. The work environment is dynamic, and you will be expected to manage a high volume of patient cases while maintaining a commitment to providing exceptional patient care.
Requirements- Medical Degree: Hold a Doctor of Medicine or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine degree from an accredited institution.
- Board Certification: Be board-certified or eligible for board certification in Psychiatry.
- State Medical License: Possess an active state medical license in the state of practice.
- Experience: Preferably have experience working in an outpatient mental health setting.
- Clinical Skills: Demonstrate strong clinical skills and the ability to work collaboratively with a team.
- Communication Skills: Possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Time Management: Be able to manage a busy caseload and prioritize tasks effectively.
- Electronic Medical Records: Be familiar with electronic medical records and able to document patient care accurately.
- Professional Development: Commit to ongoing professional development and staying current with best practices in psychiatry.
