Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct Initial Evaluations: Assess patients' mental health needs, develop diagnoses, and create personalized treatment plans.
  • Prescribe and Monitor Medications: Safely prescribe and monitor psychotropic medications to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
  • Collaborate with Colleagues: Work closely with our team of mental health professionals to coordinate patient care and ensure seamless delivery of services.
  • Document Patient Progress: Accurately document patient progress and treatment plans in electronic medical records.
  • Participate in Professional Development: Stay current with best practices in psychiatry through ongoing education and training.
  • Provide Crisis Intervention: Respond to patient crises and provide timely, effective support.
  • Communicate Effectively: Respond to patient and family inquiries in a professional, timely manner.
  • Maintain Confidentiality: Ensure patient confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA guidelines.
  • Support Administrative Tasks: Collaborate with administrative staff to ensure efficient scheduling and billing processes.
Working Conditions

The Outpatient Psychiatrist will work in a fast-paced outpatient clinic setting, typically seeing patients during standard business hours. The work environment is dynamic, and you will be expected to manage a high volume of patient cases while maintaining a commitment to providing exceptional patient care.

Requirements
  • Medical Degree: Hold a Doctor of Medicine or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine degree from an accredited institution.
  • Board Certification: Be board-certified or eligible for board certification in Psychiatry.
  • State Medical License: Possess an active state medical license in the state of practice.
  • Experience: Preferably have experience working in an outpatient mental health setting.
  • Clinical Skills: Demonstrate strong clinical skills and the ability to work collaboratively with a team.
  • Communication Skills: Possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Time Management: Be able to manage a busy caseload and prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Electronic Medical Records: Be familiar with electronic medical records and able to document patient care accurately.
