The Role:

We are currently seeking a Production Laboratory Technician to become a vital part of our Analytical Operations team. This position involves executing a range of laboratory tasks that require technical expertise.

In this capacity, you will operate specialized equipment to assess samples or materials, perform various tests, and communicate findings to laboratory management. Collaboration with your colleagues will be essential to ensure smooth daily operations, enhance laboratory processes, and deliver accurate results that are crucial for our products and clients.

The ideal candidate will possess experience in handling potentially hazardous substances, adhere to safety and quality standards, and demonstrate a strong commitment to teamwork and ongoing improvement.

This role typically operates on the first shift (Monday-Friday, generally 8am-5pm or as business needs dictate).

What You'll Do:
  • Conduct laboratory tests following established protocols and report any deviations or anomalies.
  • Manage the organization, storage, and disposal of all chemical substances, fluids, and gases in accordance with safety regulations.
  • Document all data and results accurately in controlled forms to ensure traceability and data integrity.
  • Adhere to safety protocols and maintain a tidy and organized workspace (5S Guidelines).
  • Support laboratory personnel by keeping glassware, logs, and records up to date in a fast-paced laboratory environment.
  • Oversee laboratory supplies inventory by placing orders, confirming deliveries, and ensuring proper storage.
  • Maintain daily logs and equipment records meticulously.
  • Address issues by analyzing data and determining corrective actions.
  • Contribute to projects by collaborating with the team and participating in meetings.
  • Enhance personal knowledge through educational opportunities, special projects, and reviewing technical literature.
  • Aim for operational excellence, teamwork, positive morale, and continuous improvement.
What We Seek:
  • High school diploma or equivalent with prior experience in handling hazardous materials in a laboratory setting (Associate's Degree in a relevant field and/or cleanroom experience preferred).
  • Mechanical aptitude and experience with both electrical and non-electrical laboratory equipment.
  • Basic understanding of quality systems and laboratory best practices.
  • Knowledge of safe handling and disposal methods for potentially dangerous substances (flammable liquids, corrosives, and toxic compounds).
  • Prior experience and commitment to maintaining a clean and safe work environment.
  • Strong time management abilities and the capacity to work independently while also being a team player.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Good dexterity and hand-eye coordination.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication capabilities.
  • Familiarity with MS Office (especially Excel) and Laboratory Information Management Systems (LIMS).
