The Role:

Our site in Burnet, TX is seeking a Production Laboratory Technician to join our Analytical Operations team and undertake a variety of laboratory procedures of a technical nature.

In this role, you will be handling sensitive equipment to analyze samples or substances, conduct tests and report findings to a laboratory management. You will collaborate with your team to maintain daily operations, optimize lab procedures, and produce reliable results that are critical to our products and our customers.

The ideal candidate will have some experience working with potentially hazardous chemicals, uphold proper safety and quality practices, and be passionate for teamwork and continuous improvement.

This position is on the 1st shift (Monday-Friday, generally 8am-5pm or per business needs)

What You'll Do:

• Assist and conduct laboratory testing according to work instructions and report deviations and/or anomalies
• Organize, store, and dispose of all chemical substances, fluids, and compressed gases according to safety practices and protocols
• Record all data and results in specified controlled forms legibly and correctly to ensure traceability and data defensibility
• Follow safety guidelines and maintain a clean and orderly environment (5S Guidelines)
• Support laboratory staff by maintaining glassware, logs, and record books in a fast-paced trace level laboratory
• Maintain laboratory supplies inventory by placing orders, verifying receipt, and properly storage
• Document information by maintaining daily logs and equipment record books
• Resolve problems by examining and evaluating data and selecting corrective steps
• Complete projects by assisting the team and attending and participating in group and project meetings
• Expand upon personal job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities, special project teams, and reading technical publications
• Strive for operational excellence, collaboration, positive team morale, and continuous improvement

What We Seek:

• High school diploma or equivalent with previous experience handling hazardous chemicals in a laboratory (Associate's Degree in a relevant field of study and/or cleanroom experience preferred)
• Be mechanically inclined and experience operating electrical and nonelectrical laboratory equipment
• General knowledge of quality systems and laboratory best practices
• Knowledge of proper safe handling/disposal of potentially dangerous substances (flammable liquids, corrosives, and toxic compounds)
• Prior experience and dedication to maintaining a clean and safe work environment
• Strong time management skills and the ability to work well independently while possessing good teamworking skills
• Meticulous attention to detail and organization
• Strong dexterity and good eye-hand coordination
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Working knowledge of MS Office (especially Excel) and Laboratory Information. Management Systems (LIMS)
