We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Facilities Maintenance Specialist. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our facilities and equipment.
Key Responsibilities- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on facility, mechanical, electrical, and other installed systems.
- Conduct facility inspections and report on conditions affecting operations.
- Prepare summary reports of conditions in buildings and recommend actions to be taken.
- Troubleshoot production issues with support from the maintenance team and/or engineering.
- Walk the facility daily and identify abnormalities in equipment.
- Document maintenance activities, time, and resources allocated using our company operating systems process.
- Troubleshoot components such as contactors, switches, relays, controllers, pumps, and motors.
- Perform duties in a safe manner and observe approved safety procedures.
- Work as a team or independently as tasks require.
- Identify areas to improve or create PM procedures to reduce equipment failures.
- Maintain a clean and safe work area.
- Comply with all safety procedures and requirements.
- Support after-hours building needs and activities as required.
- 3+ years' previous mechanical work experience.
- Proven knowledge of mechanical equipment and associated control systems, including blowers, pumps, fans, compressors, cooling towers, and chillers.
- Working in a hazardous chemicals environment is strongly preferred.
- Ability and willingness to work in confined spaces and at heights.
- Astute attention to detail while managing multiple priorities in a safety-first environment.
- Ability to adapt to change quickly and build relationships across diverse, cross-functional teams.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills, including familiarity with standard computer software such as MS Office.
- SAP and PLC experience is a plus.
- High School diploma/GED required.
- Familiarity with working in ISO 9000/14000 environments.
- Must be able to lift and/or move up to 50 lbs. and push up to 130 lbs.
- Dependability with flexibility to work overtime as needed to support business needs.
- Safety focus with ability to wear appropriate PPE as required.
- Ability to attain respirator certification and wear a cleanroom suit for the entirety of the work shift.
