Role Summary:

Our team is seeking an Analytical Chemistry Production Specialist to contribute to our operations. Join us in analyzing and characterizing materials that are essential for the design, delivery, and optimization of critical semiconductor devices globally. Your expertise as an analytical chemist will play a pivotal role in advancing chemical manufacturing.

Entegris is looking for a Production Analytical Chemist (1st Shift) with extensive knowledge in analytical chemistry and techniques for characterizing complex mixtures. This expertise is crucial for troubleshooting, developing, and optimizing analytical methods for both routine and non-routine quality control analyses, supporting our Manufacturing and Engineering Teams. Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct chemical and/or physical analyses on routine and non-routine samples using various analytical instruments, including ICP-MS, ICP-OES, GC, GC/MS, HPLC, IC, XRF, UV-Vis, NIR, KF, etc.
  • Document, process, and review analytical data to ensure accuracy, traceability, and compliance, while supporting production and customer needs; implement corrective actions as necessary.
  • Maintain and manage instrumentation, tools, chemicals, and consumables required for testing.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve hardware or software issues with analytical instruments.
  • Ensure proper storage and disposal of samples and chemicals.
  • Lead initiatives to improve existing testing methods and practices.
  • Assist in maintaining laboratory cleanliness to support high-quality data generation.
  • Compile and present data to communicate findings and support continuous improvement and method validation projects.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams as the analytical subject matter expert.
  • Train personnel in sample analysis and laboratory tasks.
  • Adhere to and enhance safety protocols while maintaining an organized workspace (5S Guidelines).

Qualifications:

  • A minimum of a Bachelor's Degree in Analytical Chemistry or a related field is required; a Master's Degree is preferred.
  • 5+ years of experience in operating, troubleshooting, and maintaining analytical instrumentation (LC, LC-MS, IC, IC-MS, GC, GC-MS, ICP-MS, ICP-OES), with a strong preference for ICP-MS experience.
  • Proficient in computer applications, including MS Office; experience with LIMS is preferred.
  • Knowledge of safe handling and disposal of chemicals, with a commitment to maintaining a clean and safe workspace.
  • Demonstrated ability to perform laboratory work safely, accurately, efficiently, and independently.
  • Engage in professional development through educational opportunities and technical publications.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks effectively while balancing independent and team responsibilities.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Excellent dexterity and coordination, capable of performing routine repetitive tasks safely.
  • Mechanical aptitude and experience with laboratory equipment.
