Description
The Clinical Specialist Pharmacist / Lymphoma Oncology serves as a clinical expert in specialty practice areas. This role focuses on the Winship lymphoma clinic, rotating inpatient shifts. The ideal candidate ensures appropriate medication therapy and optimal clinical outcomes for the institution.

Responsibilities
  • Monitor drug therapy regimens and perform daily patient profile reviews to assess, monitor, and recommend suitable drug therapy.
  • Evaluate, intervene, and document adverse drug reactions, medication variances, and clinical interventions beyond institutional protocols.
  • Prevent and resolve drug-related problems by consulting with ordering prescribers and documenting accordingly.
  • Provide in-depth knowledge of research designs, methodologies, and biostatistics to answer drug information questions.
  • Oversee work performed by pharmacy students, technicians, and pharmacists, ensuring performance standards are met and work aligns with state, federal, and organizational regulations.

Qualifications
  1. Graduate of an accredited school of pharmacy.
  2. ASHP-Accredited Post Graduate Year 1 and 2 Residency or Fellowship or equivalent experience in the specialty area.
  3. Relevant Pharmacy Specialty Board certification is preferred.
  4. Active Georgia Pharmacist license or eligibility for licensure with attempt to register within 60 days of hire.
  5. BLS Certification in accordance with the American Heart Association required.
  6. Advanced Cardiac Life Support is required within one year for positions with Code Blue coverage responsibility.
