Description:

The primary responsibilities of the Clinical Dietitian Specialist include ensuring continuity of care through effective decision-making, conducting regular physical assessments on patients, updating protocols and patient care guidelines annually, and collaborating with Food and Nutrition Services and multidisciplinary teams to provide efficient, quality patient care.

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals to develop and implement personalized nutrition plans for patients
  • Provide education and counseling to patients on healthy eating habits and disease management
  • Conduct nutritional assessments and develop recommendations for patients with complex medical needs
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation of patient interactions and outcomes

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Food and Nutrition or Dietetics
  • One or more years of experience in an acute care setting as a clinical dietitian
  • Registration with the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics
  • Licensure as a Dietitian in the State of Georgia
