Job Title: Critical Care Specialist

Location: Grady Health System, Atlanta, GA

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled Critical Care Specialist to join our team at Grady Health System. As a member of our cardiovascular ICU team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional patient care to critically ill patients under the supervision of an ICU supervising Physician.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform comprehensive assessments, diagnoses, and treatment plans for critically ill patients
  • Order, conduct, supervise, and interpret diagnostic and laboratory tests
  • Prescribe pharmacologic and non-pharmacologic treatments as necessary
  • Promote health and prevent illness and injury through education and advocacy
  • Collaborate with the ICU team to develop and implement individualized care plans

Requirements:

  • Master's Degree in Nursing as Advanced Practice Nurse or Master's Degree as a Physician Assistant by the National Board of Medical Examiners, or, the Academy of Physician's Assistants Required
  • Two (2) or more years of experience as a critical care nurse or two (2) years serving as a Physician Assistant
  • Current Georgia License as a Registered Professional Nurse is required for NPs
  • Current Georgia Authorization/Certification as a NP Advanced Practice Registered Professional Nurse is required
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardio Life Support (ACLS) certifications are required
