Associate Director, Center for Student Engagement and Campus Life

The Associate Director of Student Engagement and Campus Life is a key member of the InsideHigherEd team, responsible for overseeing the management and advising of co-curricular educational opportunities for students engaged in 200+ student organizations. This role requires a high degree of discretion, strong communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities- Supervise and advise student leaders, providing guidance on hazing prevention and education, and collaborating with colleagues to coordinate response to reports of hazing.
- Oversee student organization compliance with university policies, including Bystander Education, Student Organization Standards, and financial policies.
- Develop and administer policies for student organizations and their members, and provide programming and technology support for more than 200 student organizations.
- Work closely with the Director of Student Engagement and Campus Life to manage a fast-paced, unpredictable environment, while maintaining an educational focus and upholding clear standard procedures and policies.
- Bachelor's degree, with a preference for a Master's degree in higher education or a related field.
- 3-5 years of relevant, progressively responsible leadership experience within Student Engagement or Campus Life, including at least two years in a student engagement/student activities office.
- Supervisory experience and a record of experience with administration, knowledge of student development theory, and legal issues.
- Management experience of significant financial and human resources.
- Availability and flexibility for night and weekend coverage.
This position has been designated as On-Campus. Please note that work mode designations are regularly reviewed in order to meet the evolving needs of the University.
