Working within our Technical Field Services (TFS) division allows chemists to engage in practical work and interact directly with our clients. We specialize in the maintenance and support of complex instrumentation such as GC, GC/MS, LC, LC/MS, IC, and Dissolution. Although the equipment is intricate, TFS offers a comprehensive training program for newcomers, along with ongoing education to ensure our service personnel remain proficient. Our TFS Specialists possess diverse skill sets, including strong technical knowledge, customer service expertise, and effective problem-solving abilities. With over 20 years of service experience, we have consistently grown and created numerous advancement opportunities across various regions.

Instrument Services Specialists are tasked with delivering technical solutions and high-level instrument support services to TFS customers, including external clients, laboratory chemists within the Pace lab network, and departmental colleagues. They also offer a range of support services related to analytical instrumentation, which encompasses routine maintenance, operational and performance assessments, hardware and software troubleshooting, instrument repairs, and personnel training.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct preventive maintenance, installation, repair, and performance evaluations of instruments
  • Install, configure, and troubleshoot application software
  • Provide on-site and remote customer assistance
  • Deliver technical training on analytical systems
  • Ensure adherence to regulatory standards
  • Cultivate positive relationships with clients
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in chemistry or a related scientific field
  • Preferred experience in equipment servicing
  • Familiarity with chromatography systems (HPLC, UHPLC, LCMS, GC, GCMS, IC)
  • Preferred experience with LC/MS or LC/MS/MS
  • Strong customer service capabilities
  • Willingness to travel up to 25 percent

Standard hours are Monday through Friday, 8 AM to 5 PM, with travel requirements.
