We are seeking a highly skilled Medical Laboratory Specialist to join our team at OhioHealth. As a key member of our clinical laboratory, you will play a critical role in providing accurate and timely patient test results, utilizing automation and computerization, as well as manual methods.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform accurate, precise, and timely patient test results for the diagnosis and management of human illness.
  • Utilize automation and computerization, as well as manual methods, to ensure quality control and instrument operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting.
  • May be involved in teaching and training, but not in a leadership position.
  • Handle blood, tissue, fecal matter, sputum, urine, spinal fluid, and other body fluids, which may be contaminated with infectious diseases, including HIV and other blood-borne pathogens.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's Degree (Required)
  • ASCP - American Society for Clinical Pathology Certification or equivalent
  • Superior customer service skills
  • Experience in an automated clinical laboratory
