About the PositionWe are seeking an experienced engineer to design, develop, and test advanced rocket propulsion systems for national defense and space exploration applications. As a member of our Propulsion Engineering team, you will collaborate with multidisciplinary experts to advance the state-of-the-art in rocket propulsion systems.

Key Responsibilities- Design, develop, and test advanced rocket propulsion systems using physics-based concept design tools and propulsion modeling techniques.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to advance the state-of-the-art in rocket propulsion systems, including trajectory simulation and optimization.
- Pursue internal research and development ideas, leveraging expertise in propulsion system analysis and design.
- Document efforts and deliver presentations to internal project teams and sponsors.
- Bachelor's degree in Aerospace or Mechanical Engineering (or similar) with 10 years of experience in rocket propulsion system design and analysis.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Strong knowledge of associated phenomenology, including fluid dynamics, thermodynamics, thermochemistry, heat transfer, and structures.
- Experience with MATLAB programming and aerospace vehicle design, flight dynamics, and trajectory optimization.
- Demonstrated self-starter with the ability to set direction and work successfully with little supervision.
