About the Position

We are seeking an experienced engineer to design, develop, and test advanced rocket propulsion systems for national defense and space exploration applications. As a member of our Propulsion Engineering team, you will collaborate with multidisciplinary experts to advance the state-of-the-art in rocket propulsion systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design, develop, and test advanced rocket propulsion systems using physics-based concept design tools and propulsion modeling techniques.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to advance the state-of-the-art in rocket propulsion systems, including trajectory simulation and optimization.
  • Pursue internal research and development ideas, leveraging expertise in propulsion system analysis and design.
  • Document efforts and deliver presentations to internal project teams and sponsors.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Aerospace or Mechanical Engineering (or similar) with 10 years of experience in rocket propulsion system design and analysis.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
  • Strong knowledge of associated phenomenology, including fluid dynamics, thermodynamics, thermochemistry, heat transfer, and structures.
  • Experience with MATLAB programming and aerospace vehicle design, flight dynamics, and trajectory optimization.
  • Demonstrated self-starter with the ability to set direction and work successfully with little supervision.
