About the Role:
This position requires a highly motivated individual with experience in system modeling, MBSE, and systems engineering to join our team at Johns Hopkins Applied Physics Laboratory (APL). As a strategic systems engineer, you will provide advanced MBSE expertise in developing system models, model profiles, architecture frameworks, and systems engineering processes for critical strategic weapons systems development programs.

You will work with an elite team to develop and implement system models that support the development and integration of new strategic deterrent systems, as well as modernization and sustainment of existing systems. Your primary responsibility will be to provide thought leadership and expertise in systems engineering and MBSE to drive innovation in digital engineering.

Key Responsibilities:
• Develop and implement system models using MBSE tools such as UML/SysML.
• Design and develop new DE capabilities and processes that accelerate engineering efforts.
• Apply systems engineering expertise in requirements analysis, concept/technology development, architecture analysis, risk assessments, and test & evaluation for strategic deterrent systems.
• Deliver formal presentations to sponsors and supporting contractors, effectively communicating proposed concepts/solutions and analysis results.

What We Offer:
A competitive salary ranging from $90,000 to $220,000 annually, depending on qualifications and experience, as well as a comprehensive benefits package including retirement plans, paid time off, medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short-term disability, long-term disability, flexible spending accounts, education assistance, and training and development opportunities.
