About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Sous Chef to join our team at Terraces of Boise, a HumanGood community. As a key member of our culinary team, you will be responsible for assisting the Executive Chef in managing and mentoring the kitchen staff, while demonstrating advanced culinary skills to provide high-quality meals to our residents and guests.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist the Executive Chef in supervising and mentoring the kitchen staff to ensure the highest standards of food quality, presentation, and service.
  • Prepare and cook meals in accordance with specified recipes and procedures, ensuring that all foods are prepared and cooked to meet the standards of portion, doneness, freshness, and presentation.
  • Assist in the supervision of all kitchen team members, ensuring that they are working efficiently and effectively to meet the needs of our residents and guests.
  • Work collaboratively with the Executive Chef to develop and implement menus that meet the dietary needs and preferences of our residents and guests.
  • Ensure that all kitchen operations are conducted in a safe and sanitary manner, adhering to all relevant health and safety regulations.
Requirements
  • Associates degree in culinary arts or other formal culinary education and/or advanced training strongly preferred.
  • 3-5 years of related work experience, including kitchen supervisory experience in a hotel or restaurant environment.
  • Equivalent combination of training and experience that provides the required skills, knowledge, and abilities.
