Job Summary

Community & Family Resources is seeking a highly skilled Human Resources Generalist to join our team in Fort Dodge. As an HR Generalist, you will play a critical role in recruiting, retaining, and developing outstanding staff members.

Key Responsibilities
  • Recruitment and Hiring: Recruit, interview, and facilitate the hiring of qualified job applicants for open positions, collaborating with departmental managers to understand skills and competencies required for openings.
  • Recruitment Strategies: Collaborate with the HR team to develop effective recruitment strategies to attract top talent.
  • Background Checks and Eligibility Verifications: Conduct or acquire background checks and employee eligibility verifications, including verification of professional licenses/certifications and credentialing.
  • New Hire Orientation and Onboarding: Lead new hire orientation and onboarding programs to ensure a smooth transition for new employees.
  • Employee Inquiries and Support: Handle employment-related inquiries from applicants, employees, and supervisors, referring complex and/or sensitive matters to the appropriate staff.
  • Disciplinary Meetings and Investigations: Attend and participate in employee disciplinary meetings, terminations, and investigations.
  • Personnel File Maintenance: Ensure that personnel files are maintained in accordance with industry standards.
Requirements
  • Education: Associate's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field required, or Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field with at least 1 year of human resources experience.
  • Experience: 2 years of human resources experience, or at least 1 year of human resources experience with a Bachelor's degree.
