This role is integral to the Emergency Response Unit (ERU), which functions around the clock to effectively manage environmental crises, including chemical leaks, fires, and other perilous situations. Responsibilities include orchestrating response initiatives, supervising EPCRA program operations, managing financial resources, and ensuring the readiness of emergency response apparatus.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee coordination within the ERU to address hazardous incidents
  • Engage with ERU personnel, contractors, and governmental representatives for remediation efforts
  • Assist in the execution of EPCRA Program initiatives
  • Formulate budgets and oversee emergency response financial allocations
  • Ensure operational readiness and maintenance of ERU equipment

Required Knowledge, Skills & Abilities (KSAs):

  • Understanding of hazardous materials management and pollution control
  • Acquaintance with safety protocols and equipment utilized in emergency situations
  • Proficiency in operating safety and analytical instruments
  • Capability to interpret technical information and prepare reports

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in a relevant discipline or Military experience in EOD/CBRN
  • Certification as a Hazardous Materials Technician
  • Possession of a valid driver's license
