Job Summary

AMR Corp. is seeking a highly skilled Emergency Response Coordinator to join our team. As a critical member of our emergency response team, you will be responsible for processing emergency and non-emergency calls for service, dispatching ambulances and fire engines via radio, and providing real-time care and assistance to the public.

Responsibilities
  • Process emergency and non-emergency calls to determine the type of assistance needed and dispatch help in a timely manner.
  • Maintain a high standard of accountability and professionalism while demonstrating excellent customer service.
  • Provide medical dispatch instructions in accordance with the International Academy of Emergency Dispatch standards.
  • Track and enter data for emergency and non-emergency calls using a computer-aided dispatch system.
  • Utilize critical thinking skills to dispatch appropriate resources to community members in need of assistance.

Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum of 1 year of emergency dispatch, medical, or telecommunications experience, or 2 years of high-demand customer service experience.
  • Strong reading comprehension and writing skills in English.
  • Ability to communicate clearly on the radio and telephone.
  • Ability to record, transmit, and report information accurately.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
