Position Overview

Our client, a community bank, is in search of a Chief Financial Officer to lead their financial operations in the Oklahoma City area. This pivotal role requires a visionary leader who can drive the bank's financial strategy and ensure sustainable growth.

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Overseeing all financial operations, including reporting, planning, and investment management.
  • Collaborating with the Executive Team on forecasting and budgeting initiatives.
  • Ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements through accurate financial reporting.
  • Leading the preparation of financial statements and business activity reports.
  • Chairing or participating in the bank's Asset-Liability Committee (ALCO).
  • Managing a team responsible for financial reporting, accounting, and payroll functions.
  • Staying informed on current accounting standards and regulatory policies.
  • Conducting audits to verify compliance with financial regulations.
  • Authorizing disbursements in line with company policies.
  • Monitoring financial performance and compliance with legal requirements.
  • Evaluating and recommending personnel actions within the financial team.
  • Directing financial planning and investment activities across the organization.
  • Developing internal controls for budget and cash management.
  • Analyzing financial data to identify growth opportunities.
  • Assessing funding needs and investment strategies.
  • Facilitating training and development for staff in financial management.
Candidate Profile

The ideal candidate is someone who is eager to take charge of their professional growth and is passionate about financial leadership.

Key qualifications include:

  • A Bachelor's degree in finance or accounting (Master's degree preferred).
  • A minimum of four years of relevant experience or a combination of education and experience.
  • Proficiency in financial software, including Excel and other related applications.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
  • Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Ability to thrive under pressure and manage complex financial challenges.
