Position Overview

Our client, a community bank, is actively seeking a Chief Financial Officer to lead their financial operations in the Oklahoma City area. This pivotal role requires a forward-thinking and innovative leader who will manage all accounting functions and drive the bank's financial strategy towards sustainable growth.

The selected candidate will be responsible for:

  • Overseeing all financial operations, including reporting, planning, and investment strategies.
  • Collaborating with the Executive Team on forecasting, budgeting, and strategic planning.
  • Ensuring accurate preparation and filing of annual tax returns.
  • Generating financial statements, business activity reports, and compliance reports for regulatory agencies.
  • Participating as a member or chair of the bank's Asset-Liability Committee (ALCO).
  • Supervising the financial reporting team, including accounting, billing, collections, payroll, and budgeting functions.
  • Staying informed on organizational policies, state and federal regulations, and current accounting standards.
  • Coordinating audits of financial transactions to ensure compliance with applicable laws.
  • Authorizing disbursement requests in accordance with company policies.
  • Monitoring financial activities to meet legal and regulatory requirements.
  • Evaluating the performance of financial staff and recommending personnel actions.
  • Directing financial planning, budgeting, and investment activities.
  • Developing internal control policies for budget administration and cash management.
  • Analyzing financial operations to identify areas for improvement and growth.
  • Assessing funding needs and investment opportunities.
  • Leading training initiatives in budgeting and financial management.
Candidate Profile

The ideal candidate is a proactive individual who seeks to shape their professional journey. You possess:

  • A Bachelor’s degree in finance or accounting (Master’s degree preferred).
  • A minimum of four years of relevant experience or a combination of education and experience.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, Word, and Access.
  • Strong attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • The ability to thrive under pressure, prioritize tasks, and resolve complex financial issues.
