Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Director of Operations to join our team at Clearwater Living. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of our communities and driving business growth through strategic planning and execution.

Key Responsibilities
  • Financial Management
    • Prepare and monitor operating budgets to ensure financial stability and growth
    • Meet with Executive Directors to review monthly P&Ls and ensure action is taken to address any variances
    • Collaborate with the Vice President to review P&Ls and variance reports, and provide insights on major variances to revenue, expenses, or NOI
  • Operational Excellence
    • Ensure Clearwater Living systems are in place and producing satisfactory results
    • Develop and maintain a clear understanding of all systems, procedures, programs, and standards for all departments
  • Leadership and Development
    • Provide support and guidance to Executive Directors and department heads
    • Meet with department heads and coordinators individually or as a group to give recognition and support
    • Promote teamwork through ongoing mentoring, coaching, and recognition programs
  • Strategic Planning
    • Review and approve marketing plans quarterly, with follow-up monthly
    • Meet with the Vice President of Sales and Marketing to review census opportunities and challenges
  • Regulatory Compliance
    • Ensure compliance with all state regulations required for the operations of our communities
    • Respond to licensing visits and develop corrective action plans for any deficiencies identified
Requirements
  • Four-year degree from an accredited college
  • Current government-required certification or license to manage a community (or working towards the required certification or license to manage a community)
  • Two-year supervisory experience in long-term care or assisted living
  • Multi-site experience required
  • Evidence of First Aid Training/certification as required
  • Background clearances as required by government regulations
  • Complete a health screening and provide negative TB test results (must be within the last 6 months or within 7 days of employment)
