About the Role

CommonSpirit Health is seeking a seasoned professional to lead our risk management efforts in the region. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for developing and implementing strategies to mitigate risks and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities
  • Leadership and Collaboration
    • Partner with regional and market executives to identify and address potential risks and exposures.
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement risk management programs.
  • Risk Management and Compliance
    • Develop and implement risk management strategies to mitigate losses and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
    • Conduct on-site investigations and data gathering to identify potential risks and exposures.
    • Support claim professionals and defense counsel throughout the claim management process.
  • Program Development and Implementation
    • Develop and implement system-wide loss prevention programs to reduce casualty and property losses.
    • Partner with regional leaders to develop and implement risk management programs.
  • Training and Development
    • Provide training and development opportunities to market/local risk management professionals.
    • Mentor and evaluate the performance of market/local risk management professionals.
Requirements
  • Education and Experience
    • Bachelor's degree in a healthcare-related field.
    • Minimum of 7 years of experience in healthcare risk management.
    • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a leadership role.
  • Licensure and Certification
    • Certified Professional in Healthcare Risk Management (CPHRM) preferred.
  • Skills and Abilities
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks.
