POSITION SUMMARY

At the heart of our community's growth lies the Springfield Area Chamber of Commerce, where we believe that the success of businesses directly contributes to the prosperity of our community. We are currently looking for a Communications and Marketing Coordinator who is passionate about fostering connections and enhancing engagement with our members. This role is pivotal in managing our digital presence, producing engaging multimedia content, executing email outreach, and supporting various marketing initiatives under the guidance of the Senior Marketing Communications Manager.

Job Type: Non-exempt; 30-40 hours per week

Office Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM - 5:00 PM (flexibility required)

Compensation: $23.00 per hour

Key Responsibilities:

Communications: Collaborate with the Senior Marketing and Communications Manager to facilitate member communications.

  • Oversee regular email marketing campaigns.
  • Create and distribute content across various social media platforms.
  • Update the Chamber's news blog with member announcements.
  • Highlight community events and activities throughout the year.

Marketing: Enhance the visibility of the Chamber and its members through diverse marketing strategies.

  • Produce and edit visual content for promotional purposes.
  • Coordinate with external vendors for branded materials.

Professional Development: Engage in relevant training and seminars to enhance skills and knowledge.

  • Participate in cross-training initiatives within the team.

Required Skills and Qualifications: A strong enthusiasm for the Springfield community and its member organizations; proficiency in design tools such as Canva and Constant Contact; adept in photography and videography; excellent writing and editing skills; strong organizational abilities to manage multiple projects and deadlines; familiarity with Adobe Creative Suite and Google Analytics is advantageous.

Experience and Education: A solid understanding of branding principles and design; experience in creating marketing and communication materials; background in a multi-lingual or multi-cultural environment is a plus.

Working Conditions: The role is primarily office-based but may require occasional travel for Chamber-related activities.
