Medical Records Specialist

Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Medical Records Processing Specialist to join our team. As an entry-level position, this role offers an exciting opportunity for someone looking to start their career with a fast-growing company. The successful candidate will be responsible for processing incoming requests for medical records, managing front desk operations, and maintaining accurate and confidential records.
Key Responsibilities:
• Complete all incoming ROI requests in a timely and efficient manner
• Manage front desk for patient requests and concerns, including walk-ins
• Maintain 100% ROI accuracy
• Complete all STATs within an hour and maintain a 24-hour turnaround time for all other ROI requests
• Keep all queues current
• Validate requests and authorize the release of PHI according to established procedures
• Perform quality checks on all work to ensure accuracy, confidentiality, and proper invoicing
• Maintain confidentiality, security, and standards of ethics with medical records information during transport, storage, and disposal
• Regularly scan ROI requests into charts
• Abide by the ROI policy specific to HealthMark and the client
• Maintain a neat, clean, and professional personal appearance and observe the dress code established by the client
• Maintain a clean and orderly work area, ensuring records and files are properly stored before leaving the area and adequate supplies are available
• Maintain and update facility guides as needed
• Provide excellent customer service by being attentive and respectful, following through as promised, and proactively identifying and resolving patient complaints
• Communicate effectively with customers and achieve maximum customer satisfaction
