Front Desk Representative

Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and customer-focused Front Desk Agent to join our team at Fairfield Inn & Suites New York Fifth Avenue. As a Front Desk Agent, you will be responsible for providing exceptional guest service, ensuring a smooth and efficient check-in and check-out process, and maintaining a clean and organized front desk area.
Key Responsibilities:
- Guest Check-In/Check-Out: Greet and register guests, assign rooms, and ensure a smooth check-in and check-out process.
- Room Assignments: Verify room availability and assign rooms to guests, ensuring that all rooms meet the hotel's quality standards.
- Guest Services: Provide information on hotel services, amenities, and local attractions, and respond to guest inquiries and requests.
- Front Desk Operations: Maintain a clean and organized front desk area, including the reception desk, lobby, and surrounding areas.
- Communication: Communicate effectively with guests, colleagues, and management, using excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Problem-Solving: Resolve guest complaints and issues in a professional and courteous manner, escalating issues to management as needed.
- Teamwork: Collaborate with other hotel departments, including housekeeping, food and beverage, and maintenance, to ensure seamless guest service.
Requirements:
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Experience: Previous front desk or customer service experience preferred.
- Skills: Excellent communication and problem-solving skills, ability to work in a fast-paced environment, and proficiency in Microsoft Office.
- Language: English language proficiency required.
Working Conditions:
This role requires working in a fast-paced hotel environment, with frequent interaction with guests and colleagues. The Front Desk Agent must be able to work a variety of shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
