Job Overview

Compensation: $254 per weekend

POSITION SUMMARY:

The role of the Guest Conference Host is pivotal in delivering outstanding service to guests, acting as a bridge between the guest group and the operational team at Forest Home. This position requires the host to reside on-site during events, including overnight stays, to assist groups with information, resolve issues, ensure safety, and enhance the overall guest experience.

EMPLOYMENT STATUS: Non-Exempt

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Deliver exceptional hospitality to guest groups throughout their stay.
  • Facilitate check-in processes and ensure all necessary documentation is completed.
  • Provide spiritual support to group leaders during events.
  • Serve as the main point of contact for group leaders and participants during retreats.
  • Communicate important announcements and safety protocols to attendees.
  • Assist operational staff as required.
  • Oversee the check-out process for all guest groups.
  • Gather and relay detailed feedback regarding events to the Reservations department.
  • Perform light cleaning duties as needed while serving guests.
  • Maintain communication during the week for follow-up after events.
  • Execute additional tasks as assigned by leadership.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
  • Must be at least 18 years old.
  • Experience in hospitality or customer service is preferred.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: This position does not include supervisory duties.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: The physical demands of this role include regular standing, walking, and sitting. Mild physical labor may be required, including lifting, pushing, or pulling objects over 20 pounds. Visual acuity is necessary for reading and communication.

WORK ENVIRONMENT: The work environment may involve moderate exposure to unusual elements such as extreme temperatures, dust, and noise levels that can vary.
