Job Overview

The Global Supply Chain Material Coordinator plays a pivotal role in the procurement and sourcing of essential materials and resources necessary for the organization. This position focuses on both direct and indirect materials, including support with contract management and order processing.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee the acquisition of materials for the Control Box Division, which specializes in manufacturing control boxes utilized in various HVAC and refrigeration applications.
  • Excel in a dynamic work environment while pursuing professional growth within the supply chain sector.
  • Act as a crucial contributor to the ongoing success and expansion of the organization.
  • Drive strategic initiatives aimed at enhancing operational efficiency and productivity through innovative material planning.
  • Exhibit strong attention to detail and possess problem-solving capabilities, complemented by exceptional communication skills and MRP analysis expertise.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including sales, production, customer service, and engineering, to generate necessary analyses and documentation in a cooperative manner.
  • Manage the supply chain for designated commodities, ensuring effective planning, analysis, procurement, and expediting of components to meet sales requirements.
  • Utilize MRP systems for inventory control, ensuring timely material delivery for production while adhering to inventory budget goals.
  • Conduct daily analysis of the SAP system to maintain a target of 100% supplier on-time delivery, addressing any issues proactively.
  • Resolve daily Accounts Payable discrepancies to facilitate timely supplier payments.
  • Work closely with the Quality Department to address supplier quality concerns and manage the return of defective materials.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree with a minimum of 3 years' experience in a Buyer/Materials Planner role, including Accounts Payable resolution experience.
  • Associate degree with at least 5 years' experience in a similar capacity.
  • High School diploma with 7+ years' relevant experience.
  • Proficiency in SAP is preferred but not mandatory.
  • Demonstrated experience in Accounts Payable invoice resolution is essential.
  • Expertise in MRP systems and strong decision-making skills are required.
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities and communication skills are a must.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail are critical for success in this role.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team is essential.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, including V Lookups and Pivot Tables.
  • Capability to read and interpret technical drawings is necessary.
