The ideal candidate will be a meticulous planner, a self-driven problem solver, an exceptional communicator, and a proficient MRP analyst with strong decision-making capabilities.


Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with various stakeholder teams across business units, including sales, scheduling, production, customer service, quality assurance, expediting, global sourcing, finance, and engineering, to create necessary analyses and documentation in a cooperative manner, ensuring effective communication with each team.
  • Oversee the supply chain for designated commodities, planning, analyzing, procuring, and expediting components through precise purchase order and schedule agreement placements to fulfill sales demands, while monitoring and maintaining acceptable inventory levels to achieve timely deliveries aligned with production schedules.
  • Conduct MRP analysis for inventory control to guarantee timely material arrival for production without exceeding monthly inventory dollar goals, utilizing specialized reports to manage inventory effectively.
  • Regularly analyze the SAP system to ensure the achievement of our objective of 100% supplier on-time delivery by sending open order reports to suppliers and conducting weekly meetings to confirm timely order arrivals, demonstrating the ability to apply business judgment for problem resolution and root cause analysis.
  • Address daily Accounts Payable rejections to ensure timely payments to suppliers.
  • Collaborate closely with the Quality Department to address supplier quality issues and ensure the return of defective materials to suppliers for credit.
  • Support management with assigned projects as required.

Education Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree with a minimum of 3 years' experience as a Buyer/Materials Planner with Accounts Payable resolution experience.
  • Associate degree with at least 5 years' experience in a similar role.
  • High School diploma with a minimum of 7 years' experience in purchasing or materials planning.

Experience and Qualifications

  • SAP experience is preferred but not mandatory.
  • Required experience in Accounts Payable invoice resolution.
  • In-depth knowledge of MRP systems.
  • Strong decision-making and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication abilities.
  • Attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
  • A robust work ethic, capability to overcome challenges, and eagerness to learn new systems.
  • Self-motivated with a focus on results.
  • Strong inventory management expertise.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly in Excel with V Lookups and Pivot tables.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team setting as well as independently.
  • Capability to read and interpret technical drawings.
