Job Description:


Social Work PRN seeks highly skilled and compassionate Family Support Specialists to join our team in Philadelphia County. These temporary, full-time positions (January to February 2025) will focus on empowering low-income families through a two-generation, whole-family approach.


In collaboration with our multidisciplinary team, including a Child Family Educator, Nurse, Health and Nutrition Coordinator, and Mental Health Consultant, Family Support Specialists will develop trusting relationships with families, promoting parent-child connections, safety, and well-being. Key responsibilities include:



  • Conducting home visits to assess family needs and provide emotional support
  • Managing crisis situations and facilitating parenting groups for 30-35 families
  • Developing and implementing trauma-informed interventions, assessments, and family partnership agreements
  • Maintaining accurate records and reporting progress to the team

Requirements:


To be successful in this role, candidates must possess a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Social Work (BSW or MSW) and have 2-3 years of experience working with low-income families. Proficiency in Microsoft Office is also required.


Salary: The estimated annual salary for this position is $60,000-$70,000, depending on experience and qualifications.
