Position Description

This part-time role operates from 7:30 AM to 6:00 PM, requiring two rotating days per week with on-call responsibilities.

We are in search of an experienced Endoscopy Nurse proficient in advanced gastrointestinal procedures, including Bronchoscopy with ultrasound, Endoscopic ultrasounds, EGD, and ERCP procedures. Our Registered Nurses play a vital role within inter-professional teams in healthcare settings dedicated to exceptional patient care.

As a capable clinician, you will possess extensive experience in patient care and a solid understanding of the specific needs of various patient populations.

You will routinely apply your knowledge, theoretical frameworks, research, and practical experience to adapt to evolving clinical situations.

Under general supervision, you will demonstrate comprehensive knowledge of therapeutic patient care, patient advocacy, clinical pathways, team dynamics, and healthcare systems.

Your practice will incorporate the AACN Synergy Model, allowing you to delegate tasks effectively while recognizing the contributions of the interdisciplinary team and family care partners in planning patient care.

In this role, you will also function in a developing leadership capacity, serving as Charge Nurse when assigned, and orienting staff or students in the absence of a designated preceptor.

You will anticipate potential patient crises through ongoing evaluation of patient outcomes and identify appropriate actions in non-routine situations, seeking assistance to resolve complex issues.

Additionally, you will coordinate diagnostic procedures.

Minimum Qualifications

- Graduate of an accredited nursing program with a minimum of 24 months of recent nursing experience within the last five years or completion of a re-entry nursing program.
- Must hold a valid, active, unencumbered Nursing license or a temporary permit approved by the relevant licensing board.
- BLS certification (AHA) is required; ACLS may be necessary in designated departments.
