Position Description

This part-time role operates from 7:30 AM to 6 PM, requiring two rotating days per week with on-call duties. We are in search of an experienced Endoscopy Nurse proficient in advanced gastrointestinal procedures, including Bronchoscopy with ultrasound, Endoscopic ultrasounds, EGD, and ERCP procedures. Our Registered Nurses are essential members of interdisciplinary teams in healthcare facilities dedicated to delivering exceptional patient care. The ideal candidate is a skilled clinician with extensive experience in patient care, possessing a deep understanding of the needs of specific patient populations.

Key Responsibilities:

- Utilize acquired knowledge, theory, research, and experience to adapt to changes in clinical situations.
- Demonstrate comprehensive knowledge of therapeutic patient care, patient advocacy, clinical pathways, team dynamics, and healthcare systems under general supervision.
- Integrate the AACN Synergy Model into clinical practice.
- Appropriately delegate tasks using the Synergy model of care, recognizing the roles of the interdisciplinary team and family care partners in planning patient care.
- Function in a developing leadership capacity, taking on Charge Nurse responsibilities when assigned.
- Orient staff or students as needed in the absence of a designated preceptor.
- Anticipate potential patient crises through ongoing evaluation of patient outcomes.
- Identify and implement appropriate actions in non-routine situations, seeking assistance for complex issues.
- Coordinate diagnostic procedures.

Minimum Qualifications

- Graduate of an accredited nursing program with a minimum of 24 months of recent nursing experience within the last five years or recent completion of a re-entry nursing program.
- Must possess a valid, active, unencumbered Nursing license or a temporary permit approved by the relevant Licensing Board.
- BLS certification (AHA) is required; ACLS may be necessary in designated departments.
