Position Description

This part-time role requires availability from 7:30 AM to 6:00 PM, with two rotating days per week and on-call responsibilities.

We are in search of an experienced Endoscopy Nurse proficient in advanced gastrointestinal procedures such as Bronchoscopy with ultrasound, Endoscopic ultrasounds, EGD, and ERCP procedures. Our Registered Nurses play a crucial role in inter-professional teams within hospitals and clinics dedicated to delivering exceptional patient care.   • A skilled clinician with extensive experience in patient care, possessing a solid understanding of the needs of specific patient populations.
  • Regularly applies acquired knowledge, theory, research, and experience to adapt to changes in clinical scenarios.
  • Under general supervision, demonstrates comprehensive knowledge of therapeutic patient care, patient advocacy, clinical pathways, team dynamics, and hospital systems.
  • Integrates the AACN Synergy Model into clinical practice.
  • Appropriately delegates responsibilities using the Synergy model of care and recognizes the roles of the interdisciplinary team, patients, and family care partners as essential resources in planning patient care.
  • Takes on a developing leadership role, serving as Charge Nurse when assigned.
  • Orients staff or students as needed in the absence of a designated preceptor.
  • Anticipates potential patient crises through continuous evaluation of patient outcomes.
  • Identifies and implements appropriate actions in non-routine situations, seeking assistance to resolve complex issues.
  • Coordinates diagnostic procedures.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Graduate of an accredited nursing program with at least 24 months of recent nursing experience within the past five years or recent completion of a re-entry nursing program.
  • Must possess a valid, active, unencumbered Nursing license or temporary permit approved by the Georgia Licensing Board.
  • BLS certification (AHA) is required, and ACLS may be necessary in designated departments.
