Description
This part-time position operates from 7:30 AM to 6:00 PM, with two rotating days per week and on-call responsibilities.
We are looking for an experienced Endoscopy Nurse proficient in advanced gastrointestinal procedures, including Bronchoscopy with ultrasound, Endoscopic ultrasounds, EGD, and ERCP procedures. Our Registered Nurses play a crucial role within inter-professional teams in healthcare facilities dedicated to delivering exceptional patient care. The ideal candidate will be a capable clinician with extensive experience in patient care, possessing a solid understanding of the specific needs of diverse patient populations.
Responsibilities include:
- Utilizing acquired knowledge, theory, research, and experience to adapt to clinical changes.
- Demonstrating comprehensive knowledge of therapeutic patient care, patient advocacy, clinical pathways, team dynamics, and healthcare systems under general supervision.
- Applying the AACN Synergy Model in clinical practice.
- Appropriately delegating tasks using the Synergy model of care and recognizing the roles of the interdisciplinary team, patients, and family care partners as valuable resources in patient care planning.
- Functioning in a developing leadership capacity, serving as Charge Nurse when assigned.
- Training staff or students in the absence of a designated preceptor.
- Anticipating potential patient crises through continuous evaluation of patient outcomes.
- Identifying and implementing appropriate actions in non-routine situations, seeking assistance to resolve complex issues.
- Coordinating diagnostic procedures.
Minimum Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program with at least 24 months of recent nursing experience within the last five years or recent completion of a re-entry nursing program.
- Must possess a valid, active, unencumbered Nursing license or a temporary permit approved by the relevant licensing board.
- BLS certification (AHA) is required; ACLS may be necessary in designated departments.
