Position Description
This part-time role requires availability from 7:30 AM to 6:00 PM, with two rotating days per week and on-call responsibilities. We are in search of an experienced Endoscopy Nurse proficient in advanced gastrointestinal procedures, including Bronchoscopy with ultrasound, Endoscopic ultrasounds, EGD, and ERCP procedures. Our Registered Nurses play a crucial role within inter-professional teams dedicated to delivering exceptional patient care.
The ideal candidate will possess:
- A comprehensive understanding of patient care for specific populations
- The ability to utilize acquired knowledge, theory, research, and experience to adapt to clinical changes
- A thorough knowledge of therapeutic patient care, patient advocacy, clinical pathways, team dynamics, and hospital systems
In this role, you will:
- Integrate the AACN Synergy Model into your clinical practice
- Delegate tasks effectively while recognizing the roles of the interdisciplinary team and patient care partners
- Assume a developing leadership role, acting as Charge Nurse when assigned
- Mentor staff or students in the absence of a designated preceptor
- Anticipate potential patient crises through ongoing evaluation of patient outcomes
- Identify and implement appropriate actions in non-routine situations, seeking assistance for complex issues
- Coordinate diagnostic procedures
Minimum Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program with 24 months of recent nursing experience within the last five years or completion of a re-entry nursing program
- A valid, active, unencumbered Nursing license or temporary permit approved by the relevant licensing board
- BLS certification (AHA) required; ACLS may be necessary in designated departments
