Human Resources Coordinator

Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Human Resources Coordinator to join our team at Grainger. As a key member of our HR department, you will provide administrative support to our Regional Human Resource Manager and assist with various HR-related tasks.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide accurate and timely reports, identify discrepancies, and make necessary corrections as needed.
- Assist with recruiting for NEX team members and support the administration of staffing, temp staffing onboarding, and new hire orientation.
- Create, maintain, and revise general and confidential departmental files and records.
- Respond to inquiries from internal leadership, internal team members, and external vendors via phone, email, and in-person.
- Coordinate team member events and activities, and demonstrate a high level of confidentiality with team member information.
- Prepare materials needed for meetings, locate and gather information to assist in resolving business issues, and pursue information that may not be readily available.
- Assist with the administration of a robust communications plan, including the coordination of the DC newsletter, bulletin board updates, and team member events.
- Monitor completion of all required team member training to ensure compliance with requirements.
- Perform other related duties as needed and/or assigned.
Requirements:
- Associate's degree in business, administration, human resources, logistics, or a related field of study preferred or equivalent experience with 1-3 years in administration.
- Expert level MS Office experience (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Publisher, Access).
- Knowledge of similar policies/procedures to answer questions and oversee day-to-day activities.
- Articulate communication to a diverse audience in a clear and concise manner both verbally and written.
- Demonstrates a high level of attention to detail and the ability to proofread documents for correct grammar, spelling, and punctuation.
- Ability to manage multiple assignments, prioritize, and meet deadlines.
- Professionally represents the organization at all times.
- Demonstrates empathy and compassion when faced with team member issues.
- Ability to work in a team environment.
