  • Develop and maintain a robust network of business relationships to generate referrals for new lending opportunities, enhanced through community involvement and professional organizations.
  • Respond promptly and professionally to customer inquiries and referrals from personal contacts or HFG's business channels, converting leads into appointments.
  • Conduct thorough interviews with potential borrowers to analyze financial and credit information, advising them on loan product advantages and disadvantages.
  • Oversee customer interactions throughout the loan process, including counseling and pre-qualifying prospective homeowners.
  • Collect necessary documentation and fees from clients.
  • Negotiate loan terms, structure financing based on risk assessments, and present credit requests for approval.

  • Uphold professional ethics, comply with all Federal and State regulations, and adhere to HMDA standards.
  • Stay informed about trends in the local real estate market and competitive landscape.
  • Explain available loan programs and rate options to clients, documenting their requests for rate locks.
  • Provide timely monthly production projections.
  • Collaborate with Mortgage Assistants to enhance the sales process.
  • Participate in internal meetings and required training sessions.
  • Maintain a professional demeanor and adhere to all HFG Policies and Procedures.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • At least 3 years of experience in loan origination for FHA and conventional loans with a proven track record of funding.

  • Ability to foster positive relationships.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Self-motivated team player with a positive outlook.
  • Ability to analyze and interpret financial data.
  • Proficient in PC applications including Excel, Word, and Microsoft Outlook.
  • Experience with laptop technology for communication and accessing loan information.
  • Familiarity with Encompass, Optimal Blue, DU, LP, and major origination systems preferred.
  • Understanding of mortgage industry practices, products, and regulatory guidelines.
