Overview of the Position:

Wells Fargo is seeking a Senior Affirmative Action Consultant to become a vital part of the Affirmative Action Consulting team. This team is dedicated to overseeing the Affirmative Action Program at Wells Fargo, which encompasses a range of responsibilities including fostering education, awareness, and commitment to Affirmative Action (AA), Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO), and Diversity, Equity & Inclusion (DEI). The role involves developing and monitoring annual affirmative action strategies while providing expert guidance and strategic consultation to facilitate progress on affirmative action objectives and address areas of underutilization.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Engage with business line leadership, Talent Acquisition, and other stakeholders regarding annual affirmative action outcomes and areas needing improvement.
  • Oversee specific affirmative action plans and formulate strategies to meet affirmative action objectives.
  • Devise methods to tackle identified challenges, influence performance improvements for goal attainment, and consult on actionable plans.
  • Evaluate program effectiveness and ensure compliance with regulatory standards, implementing corrective measures and escalating issues to Risk and Compliance as needed.
  • Align Affirmative Action initiatives with enterprise Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion priorities.
  • Collaborate proactively with Business leaders, HR Business Partners, and Talent Acquisition teams on diversity recruitment strategies, including outreach initiatives for diverse groups.
  • Utilize data analytics to pinpoint opportunities for advancing Affirmative Action goals.
  • Partner with internal and external entities regarding OFCCP audits and regulatory compliance matters.
Essential Qualifications:
  • Minimum of 4 years of experience in Affirmative Action, Equal Employment Opportunity administration, or Human Resources, Compliance, or equivalent demonstrated through a combination of work experience, training, military experience, or education.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Proven consulting experience with business line and senior leadership, Talent Acquisition, or other partners on HR programs and strategies.
  • Ability to navigate a dynamic environment and effectively problem-solve in ambiguous situations.
  • Experience in developing and executing strategies or action plans that enhance performance towards goal achievement.
  • Strong knowledge of HR policies, practices, and procedures, including legal and OFCCP compliance requirements.
  • Experience in building partnerships and collaborating across various business and functional areas at all organizational levels.
  • Proficient in data analysis to identify inefficiencies and opportunities for process improvement and change implementation.
  • Background in diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) initiatives.
Job Expectations:
  • Willingness to travel up to 10% of the time.
  • Hybrid work schedule with an onsite presence as required.
