Position Overview: The Chemical, Biological, Radiological, and Nuclear (CBRN) Training Subject Matter Expert (SME) plays a crucial role in the Republic of Korea (ROK) Special Operations Forces (SOF) by delivering expert instruction, facilitating workshops, and producing technical documentation for Amentum's initiatives in Countering Weapons of Mass Destruction (CWMD). This role encompasses the design, development, and execution of comprehensive CBRN training programs and capability assessments aligned with various Defense Threat Reduction Agency (DTRA) projects supporting the Combined Forces Command (CFC) and U.S. Forces Korea (USFK).

Key Responsibilities:

  • Act as a highly knowledgeable SME in WMD operations, providing insights into radiological and nuclear consequence management and containment strategies for CBRN threats in joint and combined operations.
  • Deliver training on WMD hazards, Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), decontamination procedures, and interoperability standards between U.S. and ROK forces.
  • Conduct thorough DOTMLPF-P analyses to adapt to evolving requirements within the DTRA's military capacity-building programs.
  • Collaborate with Amentum's leadership and various stakeholders to ensure effective planning and resource allocation for training events.
  • Facilitate on-site training and assessments during deployments, ensuring all activities align with mission objectives.

Expertise Required:

  • Extensive knowledge of strategic planning principles and the ability to analyze complex issues affecting DoD and ROK policies.
  • Experience in military leadership roles, preferably as a company grade or Field Grade officer in a CBRN unit.
  • Proficiency in managing training projects and conducting curriculum development to meet contractual and customer requirements.
  • Exceptional communication skills, capable of articulating findings and recommendations to diverse audiences, including senior military officials.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 15 years of experience in operational coordination within strategic military commands.
  • Bachelor's degree required; a master's degree is preferred.
  • Formal instructor certification is highly desirable.
  • Willingness to travel and work flexible hours to support training initiatives.
