Civil CAD Technician


Essel is looking for a skilled Civil CAD Technician with expertise in AutoCAD Civil 3D to contribute to various environmental initiatives for both private and public sector projects.

Our primary focus is on horizontal construction, requiring a strong background in creating plan views, profile views, cross-sections, grading, and volume calculations.

Your responsibilities will include reviewing designs, generating figures, and compiling drawing sets. You will be expected to collaborate with a team while also managing independent tasks across a range of projects with different engineers.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Execute drafting, detailing, and graphics layout with minimal supervision.
  • Develop construction documents utilizing AutoCAD Civil 3D.
  • Implement and adhere to relevant CAD standards and best practices.
  • Conduct volume calculations using AutoCAD Civil 3D.
  • Assist in all drafting or CAD-related tasks under the guidance of the lead professional.
  • Create site plan layouts from existing maps or tracings, including corrections to current drawings.
  • Prepare well boring logs based on field notes.

Qualifications:
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience in drafting or graphics is required.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D is essential.
  • Preferred: 2+ years of experience in civil and site grading.
  • A valid driver's license with a clean driving record is necessary.
