Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Patient Care Associate to join our team at the Mount Sinai Health System. As a key member of our multidisciplinary care team, you will provide exceptional patient care and support in an assigned area, including inpatient units, emergency departments, and surgical services.

Responsibilities
  • Participate in patient admission and orientation, obtaining and recording relevant data.
  • Assist patients with changing, securing valuables, and reviewing unit rules and regulations.
  • Contribute to the development and updating of nursing care plans and interdisciplinary treatment plans.
  • Perform selected direct care duties, including therapeutic interventions, vital sign collection, and specimen collection.
  • Collaborate with the care team to implement plans and provide high-quality patient care.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • 1-2 years of current experience as a PCA/CNA preferred.
  • Phlebotomy, finger stick, and EKG skills.
  • BLS certification.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
