**Patient Care Associate Role**
The Brooklyn Hospital Center seeks a skilled Patient Care Associate to provide high-quality patient care and support under the guidance of a Registered Professional Nurse.
**Responsibilities:**
* Provide basic nursing care and implement selected aspects of the patient's nursing plan of care within the limits of on-the-job training and in accordance with the hospital's mission and goals.
* Assist with phlebotomy, blood glucose monitoring, and rapid COVID testing, and document results in designated systems.
* Perform quality electrocardiogram tests and maintain accurate records.
* Collaborate with healthcare teams to ensure patient safety and well-being.
* Participate in Non-Violent Crisis Intervention Training and Certification programs.
**Requirements:**
* High School Graduate or GED
* Completion of Medical Assistant program (highly preferred)
* Completion of EKG/Phlebotomy training program from an accredited institution
* One year of patient care experience in a healthcare facility
* Current Basic Cardiac Life Support certification
* Ability to use computers and understand computer systems
