About the Role

Great Southern Equipment LLC is seeking an experienced Heavy Equipment Regional Sales Manager to join our team in the Fort Myers, FL area. As a key member of our sales team, you will be responsible for driving sales growth and revenue in your assigned region.

Key Responsibilities
  • Administer sales processes for reporting sales staff, ensuring seamless execution and maximum productivity.
  • Develop industry knowledge and customer relationships to effectively onboard new staff and drive sales growth.
  • Ride with sales staff to gain a deeper understanding of customers and territories, identifying opportunities for improvement and growth.
  • Forecast sales performance to inform accurate quarterly ordering and drive business growth.
  • Stay up-to-date on retail financing and finance programs, ensuring a clear understanding of market trends and opportunities.
  • Travel regularly to attend national industry events and manufacturer meetings, staying informed on industry developments and best practices.
  • Conduct regular ride-a-longs with TSMs throughout the assigned territory, providing coaching and guidance to ensure sales success.
  • Build and maintain strong customer relationships, managing national accounts and driving sales growth in your assigned region.
  • Oversee quotes and ensure timely delivery to customers, supporting the Sales Support and Rental Department as needed.
  • Responsible for hiring, training, and setting goals for incoming TSMs, ensuring a strong sales team and driving business growth.
  • Monitor and analyze sales performance, identifying areas for improvement and implementing strategies to drive growth and profitability.
  • Collaborate with the Service Department to address customer issues and reconcile outstanding work orders, ensuring seamless customer service and support.
Requirements
  • Valid driver's license and ability to meet General Liability driving requirements to operate a company vehicle when necessary.
  • Willingness to travel regularly with little notice, with flexibility to adapt to changing business needs.
  • Physical ability to climb on and operate heavy equipment, with a strong understanding of equipment products and industry trends.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in an Equipment Sales Leadership/Management role, with a proven track record of sales growth and revenue generation.
  • Proficiency in MS Office and Google platform, with experience using CRM and logistics software.
  • Strong communication and leadership skills, with the ability to multitask and demonstrate excellent time management skills.
  • Ability to function in a team environment, working collaboratively with other groups to drive customer satisfaction and business growth.
